Origin

The Blue River is a synthetic stone made from silicon, oxygen and copper. The Miotto family made the first blue river in the 17th century. From the 19th century, the production areas spread from originally China to Bavaria and Bohemia. Its intense color and the beautiful glitter of the copper particles inside the blue river make this stone a very popular gemstone despite its synthetic manufacture.
